Embrace the winter mindset of hygge!

Embrace the winter mindset of hygge!
This morning brought the reminder that nothing lasts forever and that the cold wind can blow strong & fierce. Last year, I decided to be like a Scandinavian and embrace a positive wintertime mindset so that I would have a better well -being. Well, what did that look like...walking each day with my furry companion, where I went outside without checking the weather but instead bundled up and simply breathed in the crisp cool air. My favorite days were those where the snow sparkled and crunched under clear blue skies with full sun in action. I weathered last winter very well. And I look forward to engaging again in “friluftsliv” (Norweigen for open air life). Get outside, wear a smile, and work on those “outdoorphins.” Do you have a favorite winter outdoor activity?

The delicious allure of Jasmine

The delicious allure of Jasmine
When I wear Jasmine, I am so mesmerized by this scent. It is delicious and ever so exotic! The Jasmine we enjoy from Young Living is actually an “essence” not an essential oil. The flowers must be picked at night to maximize the fragrance.
Known in India as the”queen of the night”and “moonlight of the grove,” women have treasured it for centuries for its beautiful, aphrodisiac-like fragrance.  According to Roberta Wilson, “In many religious traditions, the Jasmine flower symbolizes hope, happiness, and love.”
Interesting note: 1 pound of jasmine oil requires about 1000 pounds of jasmine or 3.6 million fresh picked blossoms. The blossoms must be collected before sunrise, or much of the fragrance will have evaporated. The quality of the blossoms can also be compromised if they are squashed. A single pound of pure jasmine oil can cost from $1200-$4500. In contrast, synthetic Jasmine oils can be obtained for $3.50 per pound, but the synthetic oils obviously do not possess the same therapeutic qualities as pure Jasmine oil.
Thank you Young Living and our Seed to Seal Commitment to Purity.  Have you tried the sensual power of Jasmine?

A Job Well-Done!

A Job Well-Done!
So today is small business Saturday and I am so blessed by my life adventure with creating my own business. I was not always comfortable with the money aspect of my business until someone shared with me that money in the hands of good people can do great things. Now I am a big believer!  Let me share...so you see in 2017, I had travelled to Florida to hear a network marketer speak and share her business insights and one of her biggest thoughts was that as we grow our business, we must connect our growth with something bigger than our ourselves!! I chose the D. Gary Young Living Foundation Project Healing Faith Uganda. I loved this project because with a simple $5 donation enough mosquito netting would be purchased to safe 3-4 children as they were sleeping against mosquito bites which can cause the devastating and life threatening illness, malaria. Malaria is the largest killer of individuals in Uganda. For me, bedtime was my special time with my babes so I could not imagine the worry a parent in Uganda might suffer while putting their child to bed. Well, I am proud to share that over the last 3 years my giving which I too partnered with the growth of my business, we have been able to safeguard 2,420 children. I was so moved when I saw this number. I had no idea when I first started this endeavor the ripple effect it would make. In fact, I just received notification that the Young Living Foundation Project had been so successful that YL’s funding is now complete. They were able to hang more than 40,000 mosquito nets, test and educate over 30,000 individuals and treat over 20,000 people with malaria. In all, the Foundation helped Healing Faith Uganda positively impact the lives of 313,957 individuals. A job well-done!! Now on to my next adventure. Stay tuned because you too can get involved!!
